Cheltenham has hosted the Ukulele Festival of Great Britain on a number of occasions. In the early days, in addition to the marvellous professional acts, the festival put out a challenge to us amateurs to show what we can do. Videos were made, votes cast and prizes awarded - 2014 saw the Gloucestershire Ukuladies win with their Hawaiian version of the Andrews sisters song "Don't sit under the Apple Tree"!
